Dr. Thomas A. Ferlito is devoted to creating your beautiful smile! He absolutely loves his career choice and the lifelong relationships he has formed with his patients. Having proudly sold the practice to his son in January of 2026, he looks forward to continuing to see patients for many years to come.
Dr. Ferlito was born and raised in Bradford, where he attended Haverhill High School before matriculating at the University of Vermont for his undergraduate studies, graduating cum laude with a degree in Biology in 1979. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 1984, followed by his orthodontic degree at B.U. in 1986.
Shortly after finishing residency, Dr. Ferlito served as the staff orthodontist for the Boston Celtics from 1990-1998, treating players and their families as part of his practice. To this day, a picture of Celtics hall-of-fame Robert Parish hangs in the office, taken the day The Chief’s braces were removed just in time for the retirement of his number at the TD Garden.
More recently, Dr. Ferlito authored an article that was printed in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, guest-lectured at Harvard, and is currently the school orthodontist for Brooks School in North Andover. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, Boston University Orthodontic Alumni, and the Haverhill Dental Association. He is proud of his heritage and was recently selected as the Italian Man of the Year at the Italian Brotherhood dinner held annually in Haverhill.
Dr. Ferlito and his wife, Kathy, are the proud parents of three children, and the family maintains strong connections to dentistry. In addition to working with his son at Bradford Orthodontics, his daughter-in-law, Dr. Sunnie, is also an orthodontist in Durham, NH. Dr. Ferlito’s daughter, Dr. Kathryn, graduated from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 2023 and practices general dentistry in New Jersey alongside her father-in-law. His eldest child, Allison, works in the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and holds both a Master’s degree in public health from Salve Regina University and a Master’s degree in healthcare leadership from Brown University.
Dr. Ferlito’s hobbies include road racing (pictured), bicycling the Pan-Mass Challenge, competitive weightlifting, and sprint triathlons.
